From June 27 to 29, 2025, the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine (CARM) “Belt and Road” Western Rehabilitation Medicine Forum and the 13th West China International Rehabilitation Forum — the First Scoliosis Digital Intelligent Rehabilitation Forum — were successfully held in Chengdu. The Forum focused on cutting-edge developments in the integration of digital intelligent technologies with scoliosis rehabilitation, and it gathered authoritative experts to explore emerging industry trends.

Telefield Medical Imaging Limited’s radiation-free 3D ultrasound scoliosis assessment system deeply integrated with AI, became the highlight of the meeting. Professor Yongping Zheng, Founding Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Co-founder of Telefield Medical Imaging Limited, delivered the keynote address. He provided an in-depth analysis of how AI algorithms efficiently process ultrasound data and accurately identify scoliosis characteristics, thereby offering novel insights for clinical diagnosis.

In a dedicated satellite session, Telefield’s clinical team conducted live, hands-on demonstrations to showcase the system’s efficiency and precision across data acquisition, three-dimensional modeling, and clinical diagnosis and treatment workflows.

This Forum has driven the deep integration of digital intelligent scoliosis technologies with rehabilitation medicine, opening new avenues for both technological innovation and clinical practice. Such advances promise to deliver safer, more efficient rehabilitation solutions for patients with spinal deformities.
